Mustangs at the mansion

The Mustangs at the Mansion national Mustang show is right around the corner and we wish to thank all 500 plus registrants who will be attending our event.

We would like to take this opportunity to update everyone on some important aspects of our upcoming show.

We will offer EARLY REGISTRATION on Thursday, September the 2nd at the Biltmore estate from 1-6pm.  The gates will close at 5:45pm (it is a 2 mile drive to registration once you are on property, thus the gate will have to shut down at 5:45 so early registration can end at 6pm on the 2nd of September).  We will reopen for registration on Friday, September the 3rd starting at 7:30am.  No vehicles will be permitted to enter the Biltmore property before 7:30am!!!
You will be receiving in the mail sometime in July, a map of the Biltmore estate, a letter with any new updates and a special rear view mirror tag to identify you as a participant for the event.  PLEASE place this tag on your rear view mirror of either you Mustang (if driving the Mustang onto the property) or on your tow vehicle is towing your Mustang onto the property.  This tag MUST remain on the vehicle that you will be using to drive onto the estate during the show.  IF, you have need for another tag, you may acquire one at the Blue Ridge Mustang Club of Asheville's location on the main show field.  Please remember to have this tag on your rear view mirror at ALL TIMES.  This will help us in keeping the traffic flowing as smoothly as possible and to readily identify you as a participant of the show.

On Friday, September the 3rd, traffic in Biltmore Village (which is located in front of the estate entrance) can become very congested as the road is a main artery leading to not only the Biltmore, but to downtown Asheville.  We are working closely with local law enforcement to provide traffic control as you exit from I-40 and proceed towards the Biltmore estate.  The entrance to the estate is just over a mile from I-40.  PLEASE try to stay in the left lane leading to the estate at all times!  This will insure traffic flow DIRECTLY to the estate entrance.  Please note that the peak times for congestion at the entrance to the Biltmore will be from 7-9am, 11:30-1:30 and 4:30-6:30pm.  As this is a holiday weekend, the Biltmore will have more than the usual amount of visitors and when you add to the mix 1500 people for a Mustang show, there will be SOME DELAYS entering the estate, so please be patient and we will do our best to get you into the estate as quickly as possible!

On SATURDAY, September the 4th, REGISTRATION WILL END AT 10:30AM.  If you need to get classified and registered on Saturday, please arrive as early as possible.  There will be a substantial number of vehicles reentering the estate on Saturday and not just Mustangs.  There will be spectators, registered vehicles, volunteers, Biltmore staff and regular daytime Biltmore visitors converging onto the estate.  So, if you did not register on Friday, we strongly suggest that you arrive on Saturday as early as possible to get registered. Judging will begin at 12 noon on Saturday!!!
